Dippy

I was up at the crack of dawn and changed ready for an endurance ride.
A father and son staying in the shepherd’s hut were up and about wondering about breakfast. I rustled up some noodles and we all tucked in.
Mother and son walking around the South West Coast path joined me for cherry jam on sourdough bread accompanied by a hot cuppa, I then drove them down to the Instow to Appledore ferry to continue their adventure.
Back to camp and helping Natalie with changeover and general cleaning duties.
We all sat down for a breather and then it happened, Dippy decided to adopt me as his guardian. Jumped up onto my lap and generally took control of my heart strings;)
Everyone present agreed that Dippy had chosen well and that he was very pleased with his new Master.
A brisk ride around the coast whilst Dippy rested in his cool outhouse.
With Regatta action on both sides and on the river itself the roads were busy but bearable.
Back for supper and some more janitorial duties before heading to Appledore for a stroll and Dippy’s first leap into the big world.
Peppermint tea and lots of fuss inside and outside of The Beever inn made the clock zoom around and darkness fell around.
Zzzzz
