My topsy-turvy life

The plan for today was for all of us to visit the Designing the Beautiful Game exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. It's a touring version of the exhibition at the Design Museum in London and was really interesting charting the development of certain parts of football from balls and boots to entire stadiums, although I was expecting a bit more focus on the aesthetic design than the technical design.

Being in Wolverhampton we also stopped off at the Wolves megastore for Aaron, with Owen and me getting funny looks for wearing Everton shirts. Then, it was off to the arboretum before dropping Aaron at his Dad's. A rare whole family trip out.

My favourite part of the exhibition was probably this set of prints towards the end.

Posts is an ongoing body of work developed by South African artist Neville Gabie over the last 25 years. A series of football photographs devoid of action, it is intended as a reflection of the universality of our desire to play, no matter where.
