What Do We Want...?

To the Royal Academy Summer exhibition. The extent of pictures on view was so big as to be baffling.  A charming limited edition print selling for £250 next to a slightly larger acrylic priced at £32,000.  The woman in the extra looks puzzled too.

Friend Charmaine had a terrific painting on display and I am pleased to see that it had sold. Or perhaps disappointed because that means I won't be seeing it in the future in her studio.

Strolling along Piccadilly afterwards there was a trans rights rally passing by. The chant was " What do we want? Trans rights. When do we want them? NOW! F**k the police".

Meanwhile the police were looking on benignly from the side lines. It was peaceful and the marchers were all having a lovely afternoon out.

I have dug out an old Canon G9 from my drawer. From about 2007 with a 12 mpx sensor. These pictures were taken with it and I am impressed with their quality. No RAW capability (as far as I can see) but nice quality jpegs. Just checked and you can shoot RAW but not in Auto, which mine was set to.
