Mono Monday...Spiky

I have a lovely little holly bush, which has self seeded in the far top corner of my garden. I do hope it will have berries, if it is a female plant? It is very spiky of course, and a perfect subject for today's challenge. 
Met the girls for coffee and chat this morning and came home and ordered a zero gravity chair, which was highly recommended by C, and half price in one of the stores. Then, the next door couple arrived home, and later, A came round with some fudge, and the offer to cut down a fir tree which has grown too large for my garden...and will continue to grow. I had mentioned in passing about getting it removed,  so I was thrilled when he offered. That will save me a lot of money. Honestly,  do someone a favour and look what happens...I'm very grateful for the unexpected kindness.
