Spiky

Mono Monday theme Spiky.
I have often caught myself on rose spikes when gardening. These are lethal!

We are just recovering from watching Tom Pidcock win Olympic Gold in the Mountain Biking competition.
He was leading when he got a puncture in the 4th lap.
I thought there was no way he could catchup, but by the start of the final lap the super human caught the French Koretzky and went into the lead.
The Frenchman sprung a surprise attack in the closing stages. Determined not to be beaten Pidcock found a different line through the trees and edged ahead and then came off best after a brief contact between the pair.
An extraordinary and nail biting race.
Well done Tom who just happens to be. Yorkshireman from Leeds.

Also well done to all our other competitors who have won medals.
Not much done today as I have got caught up in all the excitement.
