Watching golfers tee off whilst trying to stop Rufus bark in his high pitched comedy routine with members peering out of the clubhouse windows to see what on earth was afoot, will stay with me for awhile…

St Andrews is pretty special. The golf is a pretty recent thing with the club only 181 years old. The university really starts to rock it at 611 years old. Then step up to the ruined cathedral at 866 years old.

I wonder what Mr Knox would have made of what it’s become?
