Palesa's daughter
Kamohelo's first birthday came nine days after her mother's death. Now she is four.
She is being well cared for by her Auntie in Daveyton, South Africa, as is clear from her Auntie's photo made yesterday on her birthday, arrived on my phone via WhatsApp today.
Her face is very like her mother's, but she is growing up with more ease and safety, thanks in part to the generous folks who contributed to the crowd funding after her mother's death. She no longer remembers her mother, but she carries that energy forward. May she always have enough material safety to enable her to go where her mother could not.
