Honey Bee

Not only is meadowsweet pretty but it had a lovely smell and seems to be enjoyed by bees. We have bee keepers in the village so we expect to see apis mellifera as well as many types of bumble bees in the garden.

We took advantage of a dry day and got to work pruning a berberis which was starting to cover one of our windows. The window cleaner will be pleased to be able to get at it easier.

Had an early tea in order to watch an exciting Belgian Grand Prix. It was nice to see Lewis Hamilton get on the podium but it was a shock later in the evening to hear that the other Mercedes Brit had been disqualified, putting Lewis up to 1st position!
