C2C

This sculpture denotes the start of the C2C (Sea to Sea) cycle route from Whitehaven to Sunderland. It's 137miles, tradition says you dip your back wheel in the Irish Sea and your front wheel in the North Sea.
The sculpture is actually brushed aluminium but the setting sun lit it up this evening and I liked the light projecting through the figures.
