Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

April in July

Rained a lot all night …and this morning and now again… Can’t complain..it was sorely needed.   Filled the rain barrels and the ponds - got the burn barrel burned.
Took our friends to the marina to catch the ferry home after their brief 2 night stay…Didn’t stop us from remembering 30 plus years of fun adventures here. We had Swedish pancakes for tradition’s sake.—it just MIGHT be their last time.   :-(

Took the blip at the marina office….that’s a new big yellow cedar fish and the two managers.  The carving has been in the Pacific Salmon Foundation warehouse in Port Alberni for 25 years..do not know the carver..but they do a salmon fishing derby together here so the fish came, found a great spot and there it now lives!

And a third subject, someone could get into….…Granddaughter Tatum  (before her senior year in Public Health at the UW) arrived in London yesterday (we think…no one tells us) for study abroad for a month…
“Dark empire- Race, Health and Society in Britain.”    Oh my, if you’re interested, read the description.   They stay in Greenwich.  ( and get 3 day weekends to travel etc.)

We’re headed back to Seattle for a few days tomorrow.
