Blackberries

I won't lie. I was taken aback when I saw the first of this fruit on a ramble this morning. I always get an autumnal feeling when they make an appearance so they are bittersweet (literally!)
I like the 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' but I am not ready to give up on the hope of an Irish summer just yet
