In the Pink

It's been a hot day but fortunately we spent much of the day in the cool of my late auntie's flat doing more sorting out. I was relieved to find that the damaged kitchen ceiling caused by a water leak from the flat above, a couple of months ago, has dried out and no further water ingress has occurred. The neighbours have had a plumber call who has replaced a leaking pipe. My auntie's very good friend A and her daughter H, popped in with a fruit bread for us! A and my auntie were like sisters, so A says she regards us as extended family, which makes us feel very honoured.
The roses in my mum's old garden are still blooming well and are my blip for today.
