Henley mile

Another Sunday, another early start, another picnic breakfast by the waterside.

This time we were in Henley for Mr G to complete the mile upstream swim challenge, which he did in an admirable time and sans wetsuit. Madness.

His parents met us there and helped me shepherd / carry the little Gs along the river's edge as daddy swam, hollering our support as we went, so we could be there as he finished. Then we all turned round and walked the mile back again. This is part of the race route, taken an hour or so before the racing began.

It was a beautiful, sunny morning, rounded off by a lovely pub lunch (and the right result in the cricket!) Lovely.
