The Day

So nice to be able to eat outside, makes such a difference.

One visitor was brave enough to almost join us, but refused (politely) a glass of wine.

But of course the main topic for today, as far as book fanatics like me are concerned, is the Booker Longlist Day. All the frenetic weeks of predictions and anticipations . . . and suddenly 2pm it’s here! (See extra). I already own two from the list - I will own a lot more before the week is out! I have read none of them. An interesting list. 13 books in 7 weeks before the shortlist is announced? I’m on to it.
