Rosie and the hens

It was unbearably humid all day, and uncomfortably hot too. Mr F and Henry made a bat box, as there has been a bat nursery behind our shutters for the last few weeks, while Rosie and I made fairy cakes, then we all went for a swim. 
After lunch there was much excitement when the children watched the chimney sweep at work during a power cut (our second in two days) as his chimney vacuum was plugged into our brand new generator.
Then we watched the film “Up” which has to be the saddest film ever, and all of a sudden our childcare duties were over, so we went and watched the Olympic swimming.
