Back to sun

Spent a lot of the day indoors unfortunately but at least walking between my various meetings was lovely….a perfect warm but not too hot clear blue skies sort of day. If only it would last!
I’d slept better than recently and set off across the Meadows first thing to meet up with CR. Whilst it was partly an annual review chat, we also went through the detail of all the things we’ve booked for the festival (found a couple of glitches but luckily she can sort them out) and had a general catch up. Afterwards I went across to The Outsider for lunch with AJ to congratulate him on his recent FBA. Lots of chat about families and their choices about jobs, degrees and places to live, Norfolk holidays and a bit of gossip. Fell straight back into all the conversations we’ve had so many times before over the years and we shared some laughs, overlooking this all too familiar view
From there I walked over to EFI to chair an advisory board meeting. It was interesting and I enjoyed seeing MH again and hearing about a historical walk around the city that sounds great…I must try and catch a performance one of the days it’s on in the fringe.
From there, straight to Cafe Andaluz to meet up with V, CM and SMcI….the old office gang. Lots of chat over the tapas about families, holidays, adventures abroad, festival plans etc etc. Lovely evening and they all left with jars of my jam to keep up a tradition.
I walked home and it wasn’t long before I went to bed. Have a lot of tidying and cleaning to do tomorrow before K arrives and the Festival kicks off!
