SMALL TORTOISESHELL
Woohoo we've got one butterfly on our buddleia at long last. YIPPEEE - skips round room.
This morning I had to be in town for a hair appointment for 9.30 so I parked up Kents Bank Road car park as there is shelter from trees there and I had to post something at the Post Office anyway.
Coming out of the hairdressers it was getting quite hot walking up the road but I was so glad that at least the car was in the shade. As I parked up at home I saw something flutter out of the corner of my eye, so I quickly grabbed my camera (I always take it with me, even to the hairdressers) and took a few shots but it was quite far away as the buddleia is very tall and of course said butterfly was at the far end not always being able to be seen.
Then later on after lunch I popped out again, to see if there were any more there and it was still there - well I'm guessing its the same one. That is when I took the main photo as I managed to walk onto the soil to get closer. WOOHOO - it's so good to see a butterfly at last.
That's all today. I am now indoors in the shade with the fan on as it is very hot out there - not as bad as down south but still very hot, but fairly comfortable indoors.
That's all from me for today - do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
