In temperatures like these I can't begin to imagine what it must be like working as a Pide (Turkish pizza) oven cook .....

It was so hot last night that neither of us could sleep - Robin has no A/C in her room and ended up on the floor in the salon!  So late morning we went in to Didim on a shopping spree that included buying a foldaway mattress for her to sleep downstairs with the A/C, and I bought a new arm chair which was delivered this evening. 

We got takeaway Pide and salad, and spent the evening outside on the patio and then inside watching the olympics. Turning on the news at midnight, we learned of the stabbings in Southport yesterday (and the ensuing violence today) - with travelling from Istanbul, we hadn't heard anything about it.
