Elephant Trail Again!

This morning I had an appointment with a very nice nurse practitioner at my GP surgery for a general health review. It took a while and I answered 1000 questions. She took blood to test for sugar and cholesterol.

If either of those are a problem I will ask for a dietary solution rather than more medication. I get free prescriptions now but if/when it all is private and on an insurance basis, instead of being free I'm sure that the more conditions I have and medication I'm on, the more I will have to pay!

Today I went into the new market and noticed that one stall was selling, amongst other things, Affogato. I've wanted to try this for a long time and today I did! It was absolutely delicious. If my blood results were untoward it would be off the menu so I'm glad I have tasted it.

Whilst in town I decided to Blip another of the Elmer trail art elephants. The little black cat makes this a favourite for me. This is outside the library. It is the Frida-phant, inspired by the art of the wonderful Frida Kahlo

I play the Set For Life lottery and I have fixed numbers every week. The top prize is £10,000 a month for 30 years which would mean no financial worries for me for the rest of my days! Two weeks ago, three of my numbers came out and I won £30, which was a nice surprise. Last week I won another fiver, for two numbers. I was happy with two wins in a row, until I realised that the two second week numbers were the two that didn't feature in the first win. Had they all been in the one week it would have been a much better prize.

Though I suppose statistically it does not change the likelihood of them all coming out together as the chance of any number being drawn remains the same from week to week, psychologically it feels less likely now!
