I heard Mrs Cardinal before seeing her. I had just filled the feeders and she flew into the lilacs for a taste. Sitting on the wall with my camera I waited, hoping she would reveal herself • It was lightly raining while I pounded in three wooden stakes around our “leaning tower of tomato”. It’s big, wild and crazy, loaded with green tomatoes! Hopefully they will help keep the cage in place • Currently watching US Women’s Soccer Team play Australia.
