Heat

They forecast 38C for today. In fact it was 40C in our back garden. Cooler tomorrow - a mere 32C. But sunshine and sizzling temperatures in the thirties are predicted for the next two weeks (I am posting this from a darkened room with all windows closed to keep the heat out.) I shouldn’t complain, but the wettest, coldest winter and spring I can remember has been displaced out of nowhere with this unrelenting and unpleasant heat. Of course, there’s no such thing as global warming.
