covered in pollen

Rather annoyed today - the home/garden visit from the rescue centre ladies happened this afternoon and we were actually told that our garden was too big.! And Betsy being, in their terms, a ‘traumatised’ dog would probably ‘go to ground’. Not sure what that actually means. They only stayed about 5 minutes before saying that someone else had just applied for Betsy and said that they would also take another elderly dog too. I suspect that’s the real reason. Apparently we are going to get offered another dog. I’m not very happy about this. We thought long and hard before deciding to get a doggy friend for Ziggy and after browsing their available dogs thought that Betsy would be just right - a female, a few years younger than Ziggy, and a similar size. And they got on so well at the meet and greet.
So we start again.
