A busy farmer

I like to take the country lanes rather than the main roads when l am travelling around Kent.   I went over to Kingsdown, the next village along to the very good butchers and was rewarded by the sight of this huge thresher out in the field cutting what l think was wheat.  It continues to be very hot up in London and about 6° cooler here on the coast in Deal.  Last night there was a terrific electric storm, lightning pierced the night sky but no rain or thunder,  l read that was a lot of electro-magnetic activity  in the heavens and that there was a possibility of seeing the northern lights, l must have slept through them although  l did get up to see all the lightning.
