Panda

The cloud that I wished for earlier in the week failed to turn up for the 10k this morning. This resulted in an extremely difficult run in temperatures that hit a high of 24 during the race. It made it the first half more of a mental challenge with the remainder squeezing the last of your energy. The water shower at 7k was a delight although seeing the finish line easily topped it. Certainly not a day for a PB.

I managed to drag myself round in 47:37.

In the afternoon we took the boys for a zoo visit having finally gotten round to booking panda tickets. The pandas had the right idea, they were crashed out inside their air-conditioned pens only moving to eat and poop.
