Day at the Basin

Started first thing with a basin swim with M. Beautiful glassy water which was surprisingly warm. Several other swimmers joined us and it could not have been more perfect. 

Later, after Olympics catchup on the TV, I joined the MAC for an en-plenair session at the Basin. Hottest day this year, so I stayed in the shade and kept in the comfortable breeze - quite pleased with my effort today. After we met for tea, chat and cake. 

Later a very hot Soul Runners' 800m effort. Elaine organised it and due to the fair we had a change of route - twice round the lake. Fortunately, it included shade and a sea breeze along the Prom, so just about bearable.
