AOG - Day 6 A Tale of Two Juveniles
A change of venue to the coast today for Day 6 of the Alternative Olympic Games. The gulls were performing in the Target Pooping competition and it really was a tale of two juvenile gulls, one triumphed over older and more experienced competitors, and the other was expelled in disgrace. Brenda the juvenille great black headed gull was spotted behaving strangely on her way to the start as you can see, and a spot drug test proved positive so she was told to leave. In complete contrast Hillary the juvenile herring gull was on top form, you can see she has complete focus and control, her eyes on the target and her accuracy was rewarded with a gold medal. This competition is controversial as it still uses human targets on the beach rather than model targets, but the gulls are adamant that they won't change until humans completely stop shooting birds for sport and quite right too.
After watering the plants first thing, I drove over to Sheringham for some shopping. I took a few photos down by the beach whilst I was there, less sun around today. Back home I've done more housework and dipped in and out of the Olympics - watching rowing, hockey and tennis. Thanks for all the lovely hearts for my hummingbird hawk moth yesterday which got me to page 2 of popular!
