Day 35 Sobrado to Arzúa

My last day on the quiet Camino del Norte. Arzúa , where I’m staying tonight is the where the Camino Francés, the del Norte and the Primitivo all join and follow the same route into Santiago de Compostela, now less than 40km away.

I remember staying here in June 2022 on a very hot day. This time it’s much cooler, a drop of 10 degrees since yesterday when the evening temperature in the monastery was stifling.

An easy day of walking with opportunity to stop for coffee etc in 2 places. In Boimorto I couldn’t resist chocolate and churros from a pop up shop and very good it was too.

I think I’m back in stork country. I’ve counted 4 nests in Arzúa, but just one stork in a field some way back. I returned to the nests, all on top of the flood lights in the local sports stadium and failed to see any activity.
