Brian Takes A Break!

I decided I'd make banana bread today and try a different recipe. There were a few things I needed to get and in attempt to save a bit of cash thought I'd see if I could get them from Heron. They had nothing I wanted so I ended up having to get the things from Tesco Express. Probably more expensive than if I'd walked to regular Tesco.

To try to regain the time I'd spent walking around town I decided to use my new mixer. With it, you chuck most of the ingredients in at the same time, then let it do its thing.

Only it didn't! I checked everything was as it should be and tried again: nada! I turfed all the sticky ingredients into a regular mixing bowl and got the instructions leaflet to double check, but still it wouldn't work.

Of course I couldn't separate the ingredients to follow the "by hand" method, so I just stirred it all up really well, added the bananas and pecans, bunged it in the oven and hoped for the best!

It came out better than the other one, and much better than I expected!

Just as well, since it created double the amount of washing up and messed up the entire kitchen!

Due to all the wasted time I was still without a Blip so when Brian said he was going to walk into town I tagged along too.

There's a little seaside-style play area in the middle of town with a food truck and seating area for families during the school holidays. I suggested Brian go and sit in the giant deck chair so I could take this.

There's rugby league on TV tonight, featuring our beloved Wigan Warriors. We have a few of our injured players back tonight so I really hope we will play better than the past couple of games and get back to winning ways!

It starts in a minute, good job I've finished my Blip!
