The lack of Dragon and Damselflies by the river is quite worrying. This morning I saw just the Banded Demoiselle and this one, the Common Darter. I've not seen any butterflies today and very few bees although it's been 27 degrees and sunshine all day.
I've made Bramble Gin with some blackberries I had gifted and spent a couple of hours in the garden cutting back spent flowers and growth from around the base of the Alders. We didn't get the thunderstorms that were forecast, although the garden could do with a nice gentle rain overnight.
