A trip out to the Wallace Collection, a cultural wonder. A whole load of Rembrandt, Canaletto, Reynolds, Rubens, Velazquez, Murillo. And some amazing illustrated letters, chandeliers, furniture, clocks ….. it goes on and on! And great to catch up with Kelvin & Laura, who introduced us to this remarkable collection. According to online reviews the Wallace Collection had a total of 6,598 user reviews with 551 quoting “hidden gem”. One that’s well worth discovering. And then on to St Martin in the Fields for a glass of wine in the company of Saint Boy.

Saint Boy are a London based indie folk trio, delivering gorgeous three part harmonies with intricate guitar parts and stunningly emotive lyrics. Taking inspiration from artists such as First Aid Kit, Rising Appalachia, The Staves and Leonard Cohen. Saint Boy are proactive members of the London music scene having made notable performances at The Camden Assembly, The Slaughtered Lamb and The Troubadour, amongst many more.

I had to look them up.
