Ivy-leaved Toadflax ( Cymbalaria muralis )
My weekly afternoon with Kanyl.. His garden was particularly showing many flowers I haven't a lready blipped. So I had to look a bit more carefully. You have heard of green fingers, I think his fingers, thumbs and toes are green. Everything seems to grow and grow well for him. Even the unintended. growing out of a gap between a gatepost and the wall I found this toadflax.
Another plant that isn't native to the UK. It is a native of southern Europe in rocky habitats. That is probably why it likes growing on walls. It is unusual in that once the flower is fertilised it becomes negatively phototropic. This results in the seed head being pushed into any crack or crevice near by.
