The sun was setting while we walking back to our car.
If you look at this blip you would not say that this town is filled with tourists.
The saltwater lake Las Salinas de Calpe is a protected nature reserve, home to many (173 species) different bird species and a colony of flamingos.

For a long time the lagoon was a source for salt used to preserve food mainly fish.
Now there is a path semi-circular for hiking and spots to watch the birds
