butterfly

We had a guest today and with the lovely weather were able to have a leisurely lunch in the garden. That was until the brolly shade gradually disappeared and we ended up huddled around one end of the table!  Love the sunshine but its been a bit too hot recently. During lunch I spotted this butterfly on the nearby lavender but of course it was gone by the time I went to get my camera. Was delighted that it returned on the sea holly and opened its wings for me as usually I only see white ones in the garden.
