A mixture of teething and extreme heat kept Jacob up last night. He slept for a little but soon joined us on the balcony while we ate dinner - it was 8.30 and still 29degrees. Unbelievable.

We all had such a lovely weekend hanging out with old friends and exploring parts of London we hadn't been to before. Chris even cooked us a pre pregnancy meal of pork with blue cheese sauce and potato dauphinoise with black pudding in - probably one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten!

An early wake up today meant we had plenty of time to get our train. Jacob was a star on the train, happily singing songs and sorting out sugar sachets. He even fell asleep for a whole hour on my lap!!

We are all happy to be back in a warm but breezy Edinburgh. Jacob very unhappy at bedtime though, tooth #13 coming through!
