Dad took Conor into Glasgow to the Nationwide Building Society branch on Argyle Street to open his first bank account. A special application that requires ID and a selfie for the AI to verify your face. This didn't work so the old fashioned way was necessary in an office at the back.

They also got a present and cards for Orla's birthday and went to the cafe at the top of John Lewis where Conor enjoyed a glass of milk and a chocolate chip cookie (which he dunked in his milk). As they drove in they picked up Orla from the RCS Wallace Studios where she is doing her Bonnie & Clyde production. The traffic was so bad it took a whole hour to get home.

Dad noted that the access to John Lewis from the 5th floor of the Buchanan Galleries car park is now permanently closed. End of an era.
