PROPERLY HOME
(Backblip) ... now I've seen the sea again. However, before I went out for this walk I'd spent much of the morning hunting for my phone which also has all my cards in the case. I'd spent the previous evening unpacking and moving things around the house, putting them away, while feeling completely exhausted, but also fitting in a run to Morrisons which is the last place I could remember having the phone. I looked everywhere again, went to Morrisons, then phoned the bank to cancel my cards and check there had been no activity on the accounts, while trying to remember all the other people I was going to have to phone to get replacement membership cards and how I was going to get another phone before the replacement bank cards turned up. About half an hour later I went into the downstairs toilet and spotted it on a high shelf where I'd been putting things away last night, and where I'd never put the phone down before. So... phew, but now to wait for the new cards to turn up (3 to 5 working days, still waiting on Friday, as I write this). We'd called the phone from B's phone several times and walked round the house, garden and sat in the car listening to no avail. Although the call volume was high when I checked, there was another setting deep inside the settings menus which I'd never seen before and never visited (and can't now remember) which apparently stopped it ringing. The system had updated itself over the previous night so perhaps it was something to do with that? Mystery, but at least I found the phone.
