Festival Day 1
Cycled to the pool with a soggy towel for a really good swim. I do swim faster, longer when I do back stroke.
On the way to the bus had a chat with S about G who is still in hospital. Today was my first day of the Fringe though Assembly started yesterday. It was Russell Howard's Wonder box with David ODocherty. Somehow I managed to sit in the front row. The start of the Fringe is always good, less manic..
Had Alanda's for lunch and then down to the Odeon to see 'Inside Out 2'. There was me and a mother and her daughter. I didn't think it was as good as the first one.
By the time I came out it was sunny and warm so I had tea in the garden and then cut the grass before setting off for the Castle.
I was way too early so had to queue for about 30 minutes before v they opened. I couldn't have arrived at least 45 minutes later! I ended up moving even more towards the centre as the 2 seats next to me stayed empty.
It was a beautiful evening for the Tattoo and the media there for preview night didn't instruct too much. Though it's a spectacle I don't think it was the best I've seen, a lot of dancers but the music is good. I didn't buy a programme so not really sure who was performing!
Being at the east end of the esplanade I got out fairly quickly and a kind driver held a 7 for me. Though it was after 11 there were still people walking around in shorts and t-shirts. That won't last!
Long day but a good day..
