A blissful day

Such a lovely day today! This recent heat wave we've been experiencing showed no sign of relenting as temperatures hit the top twenties.

I woke up early to do a couple of hours work on my freelance folio - which never seems to be even remotely finished. Then once the girls awoke we took a lovely stroll in the sun to the library and then the park.

The afternoon and evening was mainly spent basking in the sun. Suz offered to make us mojitos and then from then on we spent the rest of the day trying to our do the other in our cocktail concoctions. I thoroughly enjoyed her company, the giddyness of the alcohol, the holiday esque weather and the kids playing around.

Their evening was centred around them camping out in the garden. As I predicted, they lasted till about half 10 and then came into the living room!

All in all, a really nice and fun family day and exactly what we needed. I hope our friendliness to each other continues. Because we both seemed to enjoy it.
