Face of Death...?

Quite a sad photo.... This was the last I saw of this dragonfly. It was the first to emerge a few days ago but couldn't fly due to damaged wings. But it clung onto life I suspect as it was destined to do.

There may be to emerge from the pond this summer, or I'll just have to wait until next year.
