E17

After last night's deluge, most of which (other than the flooding) we missed as we were still up in town, today's water issue was the opposite.

I almost fell down a hole being dug by Thames Water the end of my road while I was running this morning, as they attempted to repair a leak that springs up at least once a year. I didn't really think anything of it until about three hours later when the washing machine (so much washing) started beeping and flashing an E17 error at me. A bit of Googling (which is apparently a verb now) told me it was a 'low water pressure' error. I turned the tap on and it turned out to be much more of a 'no water' situation. Obviously the Thames Water web site had no knowledge and their Chatbot advised me to call a plumber (even I can work out that having no water is not a domestic plumbing job) so, eventually putting two and two together I trundled off to the top of the road to find a group of my neighbours all harassing asking the men digging the hole what was happening. Yes, they had inadvertantly turned the water off and not told anyone.

It cam back about an hour later and on the positive side I got to chat with lots of my neighbours.

The cats are waiting for tea time. Which is at least an hour away.

It also turns out I had a similar flooding issue this time last year. That frog has a lot to answer for.
