Colourful Reflections
Another lovely day walking along canals - this time rural rather than urban.
It wasn’t quite as hot as yesterday in the city, and there was a nice breeze to keep the air moving. The sunshine was fairly hazy most of the time.
I walked from our chalet down to the canal (Grand Union) then along past Knowle Locks and on towards Kixley. On my return trip I walked from the canal into Knowle itself for a coffee.
Walked back to the canal then retraced my steps back past the locks…then stopped for lunch at the Black Boy, a nice canal side pub. Some beer may have been consumed…
Walked on for a few more miles before returning to the chalet. 10.14 miles walked with 22.5k steps.
The photo is of a few narrowboats moored outside the Black Buoy Cruising Club (note the different spelling to the pub)..don’t know why. This was taken early on my walk, so the still water gave some great colourful reflections, especially with the bright yellow boat hoist.
