A load of rubbish

This is my local recycling facility. It's very good of the Council to provide such amenities, but something makes me suspect that their heart isn't really in it. (Admittedly, there has recently been industrial action by the Recycling Facilitation Executives, or whatever they call the bin men nowadays, but it looks like this most days regardless.)

Something else that's rubbish: the prices at the Sony Centre. I've been thinking about getting a new TV, so I popped down at lunchtime and saw one that looked just the ticket. Price: £899. Back to the office to check out Amazon. Price for exactly the same model: £577.27. I'm quite happy to pay a modest premium to buy from a friendly local retailer, but that kind of difference just makes me feel like somebody is trying to rip me off...
