In Bruges

Today we drove to Bruges as Mum and Lynda were visiting on their way home after yesterday's concert. We arrived about an hour before them so had time to take some photos - this one is taken in the Grand Place in front of the Belfry which is in the film 'In Bruges' which starred Colin Firth. I love these horse and carts which take you around the city showing you the sights.

Bruges is one of my favourite Belgian cities and it was great to have an excuse to make one final visit before we leave Belgium. Surprisingly it wasn't very busy which was nice, and we found a Brasserie next to the Belfry where we met up with Mum & Lynda for lunch. It was nice to see them both, and we spent about 2 hours over lunch catching up. They had a great time at the concert and have really enjoyed their trip.

After lunch they wanted to go on a horse and cart ride, but we only had time for a quick wander with them before they had to head back to their coach, and we drove home.

I'd like to say a big thank you for all your comments, thoughts, stars and hearts on my blip yesterday, it hit the spotlight, which is a wonderful tribute to Dad :-)
