Eric Bolton

A celebration of his life.

Our dear family friends the Boltons have lost their Dad/Grandad. It was a good death, all his children, Ben, Emma and Charlotte were there and he insisted they all toast his life with champagne with him, hours before he died. We were there in Eastbourne for his funeral today.

It’s a devastating loss to our family too. We holidayed together for years.

After the wake some brave souls swam in the sea at Eastbourne, a happy family tribute. I think Eric would have loved it.

A clever, thoughtful, unassuming, top civil servant and principled man. The extra is when he made the front page of the newspapers!
