Road closed

There was a three car accident back towards Narromine yesterday afternoon. Two people were injured but fortunately no fatalities.
The authorities closed the road (the Mitchell Highway) and at 8:30 this morning it remains closed.
Lighter vehicles are able to divert over the Rawsonville Bridge, but there must be nine or ten trucks and road trains parked out there.
Andrew and I moseyed over and spoke to two of the truckies. One is ten minutes out of Dubbo on his way to Perth. The other is on his way with a dangerous load of something nitrate - he has to stick to his designated routes - to south of Coober Pedy.
