Day in Edinburgh
Today was my annual birthday trip into Edinburgh.
Conveniently, Ediburgh puts on this big event to celebrate it each year, or so I tell myself.
We started in George Square taking in some of the atmosphere, bemused at some of the pricing - this year a pot of plain jane mac and cheese will set you back a whopping £9. Add some toppings, or other accoutrements and that price just keeps on climbing.
We had a bit of a walk through some of the main thoroughfares of the Fringe before plumping ourselves for an early dinner before our first show at 7pm.
We thought we'd prepared ourselves for the delicacies of Bucks Bar. Oh we did not. We were mere rookies at the challenge of eating chicken products.
Our first Fringe show this year was Adam Hills at Assembly. Very entertaining and a good show starter for this years season. I thought at the time that this looked OK on the phone screen, but its only when you are home and stare at it you find that it is a very grainy photo. Oh well.
