Butterfly tree

I went to Timaru this morning and on my way home visited the butterfly tree at Aiganthige Gardens where the monarchs winter over. 

There were none of the big hanging clusters but a few smaller ones.  In fact after nearly half an hour of looking I thought there were none there and I was walking away when I saw a lone butterfly fluttering about and tracked it back to the tree.

The bunches can be really hard to spot in the leaf shadows but once you see them you can't unsee them.
