Striving
It hit 84 degrees today, so it was a good day to stay indoors with fans blowing and watch the Olympics. Track and field has started, and a particularly exciting race was the qualifying for the mixed 400 meters relay. The US team set a world record, mostly from the work of the anchor, who ran her heart out and almost collapsed when it was over. I also watched some of the decathlon and found myself rooting for a German athlete, Leo Neugebauer. There's something elegant and reserved about him that appeals to me.
I managed to get hold of a sympathetic person in the building office who took it upon herself to get things moving for me with Comcast. I now have an appointment on Monday afternoon for a technician to come here and fix my problem. Thank you, Nina!
Back to dialysis tomorrow and then to a family gathering at Lex's house with Manda and family. I hope I feel well enough to enjoy it.
