Garlic....

garlic and more garlic. Today Barry took out some garlic from his veg plot. This was the small ones and not all of them! Later he pulled some rather larger ones although he didn't plant elephant garlic.  We shouldn't need to be buying any in the near future! There will be a large haul of onions too at some point. The kale and broccoli is also doing well. The kale is already been tried and tested. We have enough to feed several armies and will definitely be keeping the neighbours supplied! The broccoli is coming slowly and thank goodness not all at once. He has 50 tomato plants in the poly tunnel but that could be a lot of green tomato chutney, unless in the unlikely event we have several more weeks of sunshine! My favourites, courgettes and spinach have been disastrous. I guess you can't win them all and I'll have to learn to love kale.
