Shady corner of the garden

The day started a bit drizzly but then cheered up and by the afternoon it was lovely and sunny again. 

In the Olympics last night, we were very excited to see how well Phoebe Gill did in the 800m, coming third in her heat and automatically qualifying for the semi finals.  She is 17 years old, in the middle of her A levels, and is trained by the oldest friend (Deborah Steer) of a very good friend of mine.  Slim connections but it makes it even more exciting to see how she gets on.  A huge leap up from competing in UK Schools championships to the Olympics!
